Selection affects Edit > Transform

In the latest release you can transform your selection via the Edit > Transform dialog:

This is more powerful than the Transform within the select tool. Other edit functions and tools will eventually also make use of the selection. And ultimately transform within the selection tool will have the same features as the dialog.
